What To Expect

Open Heart Kitchen serves free meals that are nutritious, freshly prepared, and tasty. Everyone is welcome! This meal service is conducted at the newly opened Vineyard Resource Center. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting to greet you and walk you through the check-in process. You'll then enter the dining room to pick up your meal(s) from the service window and stop by the self-service beverage station. Meals may be eaten in the dining room or taken to-go to share with your family at home. This service is first come, first serve. Our meals are free, payment is never required.

Why We Serve

Although, there is an assumption in the Tri-Valley that poverty and hunger don’t exist, we know that’s simply not the case. Thousands of our neighbors in the Tri-Valley are going hungry today, and aren’t sure where their next meal will come from. Forced to choose between paying for food, and paying for essentials such as housing, medicine, and utilities, local families and individuals are struggling to get by. Anyone facing food insecurity can rely on Open Heart Kitchen for a source of nutrition throughout the week for themselves and their families.
